Cyanide (Sugar For Life) by BEYONDTHISPOINT
trav wrote a song about being a vampire…….and what you would say to people if you got captured, were given heavy drugs, and asked to explain why you do what you do………i know…..go figure right?…
How Many,
How Many,
How Many wish we’d falter?,
You crucify me,
You crucify me,
And then kneel before my carcass,
You hold me down beneath you,
You cut me out, but we won’t be out forever,
You won’t reveal the real you,
So, go hide your shame, I will be myself forever,
Forever….Forever…
So, how many,
How many,
How many still won’t love us?
Lie to me,
You keep lying to me,
But you swear that you’re one of us,
How could you tell me how to care?,
Why should I ever believe you?,
The same ones that claim they’re your friends,
They turn right back around and deceive you.
Searching for,
Longing for a light,
Suffering for,
Everyone,
Why? Oooh, oh why?
Why are we suffering for,
Longing for our love?
If something’s wrong,
Then what’s it for?
For my mind,Oooh, my mind.
And my sanity.
Colour To Love by BEYONDTHISPOINT
She needs my body,
She needs my body on her,
I free her mind up,
When nothing’s on her,
The cost of loving an infidel,
I guess,
You’d think her life was stressful enough, but,
I make it better,
See, our love’s a new agenda,
A new religion,
A newer love that breaks all traditions,
Now our parents pissed at that fact that we broke the mold,
We broke the hold over all the monotone,
And, it’s kinda scary,
But you can’t stop this love,
You can’t stop my heart from feeling the way that it does,
And I won’t let you break me down,
Just because,
You don’t understand me,
That ain’t my fault,
How could you just sit there and put a colour to love?
A colour to love,
A colour to love,
How could you just sit there and put a colour to love?,
A colour to love,
A colour to love,
A colour to love,
I feel her spirit,
I feel her presence in me,
Without her near me,
They think I’m crazy,
To think I’m caught in forbidden love,
They don’t get it,
As far as they’re concerned, it’s just in-
Infatuation,
Caught between love and lusting, (lies and lessons)
Truth and honor, (True deception)
Jealousy turned into obsession,
I never thought that they’d be so immature,
We’re dealing with more than what we bargained for, so,
We end up screaming,
“Why can’t we be in love?,
You can’t stop our hearts from beating the way that it does,
And we won’t let you break us down,
Just because,
You don’t understand us,
That ain’t our faults,
How could you just sit there and put a colour to love?
A colour to love,
A colour to love,
How could you just sit there and put a colour to love?,
A colour to love,
A colour to love,
A colour to love.”
It s so upsetting,
We’re the leaders of a new rebellion,
In this day and age,
It’s sad to see how blind society still is,
When will we ever wake up?
When will we wake up from this cursed dream?
The cause of your mistakes is not understanding,
Which causes us to feed into your abandon,
Open up your eyes and free your mind…
Retrograde: An Ode To The Unchanged
It’s 3am, I want to remember you as the one that didn’t change, Oh lord (3x) I’m wide awake, And I want to remember you as the one that didn’t change, I’ve heard so many stories, yeah, yeah Now stomp. {Oh Lord} 8x If you want it all back then stomp. (3x) If you want it all back. If you want it all back then stomp. (2x) Let it out If you want it all back then stomp. If you want it all back.
And my eyes wide shut in this hotel room now,
I feel you breathing softly,
Damn you smell like flowers, in bloom,
It almost seemed,
Seemed like it could’ve been more, but,
I felt my heart just sink in, sinking,
Let me drown in my dreams,
My mind still moves in retrograde,
In my mind you will stay the same,
I won’t let our memories fade away,
I’ll keep my mind in retrograde,
I’ll make sure that you stay the same,
And my mind keeps playing these tricks on me now,
A rose by any other name would never seem as hurtful, as you,
“It’s just a fling“,
You say, “It’s not that serious“,
I guess I’m over-thinking this, but,
Didn’t you believe in love once?
So I’ll keep my mind in retrograde,
In my mind, you will stay the same,
And I won’t let our memories fade away,
So I keep my mind in retrograde,
In my mind you will stay the same.
But I wouldn’t believe them,
Because the girl I once knew would never, never, never, no, no….
The ones before me,
They tried to warn me,
But I thought I was different.

Anonymous asked: As a person who grew up singing in church, school, the shower, and practically everywhere all the time, I'm very ashamed of the fact that I can't read music. I just never had a real opportunity to learn. Is it ever too real and how easy/ hard is it to make sense of all those symbols?
Mylon: It’s sort of like learning a new language, and since you’ve been around that language for so long, it shouldn’t be too difficult to attempt to learn now.
Bernard: I’m not going to lie and say it’s easy, but lets say u spoke spanish your whole life, but never bothered to learn to Read and Write it. Obviously your speaking ability (Or in this case singing ability) will be an asset, towards Reading and Writing it. Take it slow, use songs and musical genres you’re comfortable with (or better yet already know) so it’s familiar in the beginning. & When you’re ready try Sight Reading (in small amounts) with songs you don’t know , to get better over time. Treat reading music like reading anything else, pick up the paper, take in what you can, look up words and symbols u don’t understand, then try to read it again, and again, and again. You’ll see weeks (or months) from now, it will all make sense.
